Pipe Insulator / Mechanic

📍 South Jersey & Mid-Atlantic Region
+

About the Role

We're looking for experienced pipe insulators and mechanics to join our growing crew. You'll install mechanical insulation on piping systems across data centers, power plants, food processing facilities, and industrial manufacturing sites. This is hands-on, skilled trade work on large-scale commercial and industrial projects.

What You'll Do

Measure, cut, and install insulation materials including fiberglass, mineral wool, calcium silicate, elastomeric foam, and cellular glass on piping, ductwork, and equipment. Apply vapor barriers, sealants, and adhesives per specifications. Install aluminum, stainless steel, and PVC jacketing and cladding. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specs, and insulation schedules. Work with foremen and other trades to maintain project timelines. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.

What We're Looking For

2+ years of experience in mechanical pipe insulation (commercial or industrial). Ability to work with a variety of insulation materials and jacketing systems. Comfortable reading blueprints and insulation specifications. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites across the Mid-Atlantic region. OSHA 10 or 30 preferred. Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift 50+ lbs regularly.

What We Offer

Competitive hourly pay based on experience. Overtime opportunities. Health benefits. Year-round work on major projects. A crew that respects the trade and takes pride in the work.

Insulation Foreman

📍 South Jersey & Mid-Atlantic Region
+

About the Role

We need experienced foremen who can lead crews in the field and keep projects running on schedule. As an Insulation Foreman at Stable Works, you'll oversee daily installation operations, coordinate with general contractors and other trades, and ensure every inch of insulation meets our quality standards. This role is for someone who leads by example — tools in hand, not just a clipboard.

What You'll Do

Lead and manage a crew of 5–15 insulators on active job sites. Plan daily work assignments, material needs, and crew logistics. Coordinate with project managers, GCs, and other trades to maintain schedule. Ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specs, and project schedules. Conduct toolbox talks and enforce site safety requirements. Track daily production, report progress, and flag issues early. Mentor apprentices and less experienced crew members.

What We're Looking For

5+ years of experience in mechanical pipe insulation with at least 2 years in a foreman or lead role. Proven ability to manage crews and meet deadlines on commercial or industrial projects. Strong knowledge of insulation materials, jacketing systems, and installation methods. Ability to read blueprints, specs, and project schedules. OSHA 30 preferred. Excellent communication skills — you're the link between the field and the office. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel across the Mid-Atlantic region.

What We Offer

Competitive foreman-rate pay. Overtime opportunities. Health benefits. Leadership role on high-profile projects including data centers and power plants. Direct line to company leadership — your input matters here.

Estimator / Project Manager

📍 Monroeville, NJ (Office + Field)
+

About the Role

We're looking for an Estimator / Project Manager who understands mechanical insulation from the inside out. You'll own the full project lifecycle — from takeoff and pricing through award, execution, and closeout. This is a high-impact role where you'll work directly with ownership, field foremen, and general contractors on some of the largest insulation scopes in the Mid-Atlantic.

What You'll Do

Review mechanical drawings and specifications to perform detailed insulation takeoffs. Prepare accurate, competitive bids for commercial and industrial projects. Manage awarded projects from mobilization through punch-list and closeout. Coordinate with field foremen on scheduling, manpower, and material deliveries. Track project budgets, change orders, and profitability. Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, mechanical contractors, and facility owners. Visit job sites regularly to monitor progress and resolve issues. Assist in material procurement and vendor negotiations.

What We're Looking For

3+ years of experience in mechanical insulation estimating, project management, or a related construction trade. Strong understanding of insulation materials, labor productivity, and installation methods. Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and insulation specifications. Experience with estimating software, Excel, and project management tools. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously. Field experience in mechanical insulation is a strong plus.

What We Offer

Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Health benefits. Performance-based growth opportunities. Direct access to company ownership — this is not a corporate bureaucracy. The chance to shape how a fast-growing insulation company wins and delivers work.

📍 South Jersey & Mid-Atlantic Region

About the Role

No experience? No problem — but you need to be willing to work. We're hiring apprentices and helpers who want to learn the pipe insulation trade from the ground up. You'll work alongside experienced journeymen and foremen on real job sites, learning materials, tools, and installation techniques while earning a paycheck from day one.

What You'll Do

Assist experienced insulators with material handling, preparation, and cleanup. Learn to measure, cut, and install insulation materials under supervision. Help with jacketing, vapor barriers, and sealant application. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Transport materials and tools to and from work areas.
